E) Sparklers
Mortars and reloadable shells cause the most severe injuries and fatalities, but sparklers cause the most injuries overall, probably because they are more frequently used due to their assumed safety. Parents even hand sparklers to very young children. However, sparklers can reach 2000 degrees and cause serious burns.
