What is Wellness in the context of emergency medicine? WHO defines Wellness as “a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being.” ACEP Wellness Guide has identified 7 spokes of Wellness: Emotional, Physical, Occupational, Financial, Spiritual, Social, Intellectual. Many tools are proposed to achieve Wellness, including mindful reflection, self-care activities, getting adequate sleep, exercise, etc. This page does not purport to address the huge topic of Wellness in its entirety. But, one commonality among many tools to achieve Wellness is the need for time. Below are links to several topics addressing Time management and Work-Life Balance.
