    C) People with a severe anaphylactic allergy reaction to eggs cannot receive the influenza vaccine
Children as young as 6 months old can be vaccinated against influenza. Inactivated influenza vaccines can be co-administered with the COVID-19 bivalent booster, as well as with anti-virals such as oseltamivir. The intranasal live attenuated influenza vaccine can be co-administered with other live vaccines, but if not given simultaneously then should be given 4 weeks apart. There are completely egg-free options for flu vaccines, such as cell-based (Flucelvax) and recombinant (Flublok), and even if they are not available, it is recommended that severely egg-allergic people be vaccinated, but under medical observation. All 2022-2023 flu vaccines are quadrivalent, protecting against 2 strains of influenza A and 2 strains of influenza B.
