Put these causes of pediatric limp in order of what age they typically present, from youngest to oldest:
- Legg-Calve-Perthes disease
- Developmental dysplasia of the hip
- Slipped capital femoral epiphysis
- Nondisplaced hairline oblique fracture of the tibia w/o history of trauma

The answer is B. Developmental dysplasia of the hip is typically diagnosed in infancy, and if initially missed would be found at the time the child begins to walk. Number 4 represents a toddler’s fracture. Legg-Calve-Perthes disease (avascular necrosis of the femoral head) is commonly found at age 4-10yo, and SCFE is common in 10-16yo.
