In the middle of a geographic location with a measles outbreak, you are seeing a 3-year-old unvaccinated by parent choice child who was exposed to measles 2 weeks ago. The child has no fever, rash, or cold symptoms at this time. Which symptoms / findings would lead you to believe the parents may have administered a vitamin A overdose in an attempt to prevent measles infection?

Vitamin A has been shown to be potentially beneficial in the treatment of measles in resource-poor countries where malnutrition and vitamin deficiencies are prevalent. It neither prevents nor cures measles. Answer B includes symptoms of vitamin A deficiency. Answer B includes symptoms of scurvy, or vitamin C deficiency. Answer D includes symptoms of Rickets caused by vitamin D deficiency. Answer E includes symptoms of measles itself.
